Loop taunting

Keep a boss taunted by alternating Scroll of Enrage casts.

api.army.loopTaunt() runs a taunt rotation alongside the rest of your army script. Give it the target, the players taking turns, and a strategy for when to cast. Each assigned player needs Scroll of Enrage equipped.

Loop on Focus

The focus strategy casts when the target has no Focus. You will usually start the loop before api.army.killForItem() or api.army.killForTempItem(), then stop it when the farm is done:

const taunt = yield* api.army.loopTaunt([
  {
    assignments: [
      {
        target: "Boss Name",
        players: [1, 2],
        strategy: { type: "focus" },
      },
    ],
  },
]);

yield* api.army.killForItem("Boss Name", {
  item: "Item Name",
  quantity: 1,
});
yield* taunt.stop();

The loop starts once every army account reaches loopTaunt(). Player 1 goes first, then player 2, and the loop repeats during killForItem(). If one of them is dead or the scroll is still cooling down, Lucent tries the other player. The loop also stops when the script ends or the map changes.

Taunt on a message

Some bosses tell you when to taunt with a message, shown as yellow text in the upper part of the screen. Use a recognizable part of it:

strategy: {
  type: "message",
  message: "prepares a heavy attack",
}

Lucent taunts each time a matching message appears.

Cover more than one target

The outer array is ordered by priority. Assignments inside one group run at the same time:

const plan = [
  {
    assignments: [
      {
        target: "Left Boss",
        players: [1, 2],
        strategy: { type: "focus" },
      },
      {
        target: "Right Boss",
        players: [3, 4],
        strategy: { type: "focus" },
      },
    ],
  },
  {
    assignments: [
      {
        target: "Final Boss",
        players: [1, 2, 3, 4],
        strategy: { type: "focus" },
      },
    ],
  },
];

Pass this as yield* api.army.loopTaunt(plan).

The plan runs in this order:

  1. Left Boss and Right Boss can be taunted at the same time. Players 1 and 2 handle Left Boss, while players 3 and 4 handle Right Boss.
  2. After both are dead, all four players move to Final Boss.
  3. If Left Boss or Right Boss respawns, Lucent pauses the Final Boss taunt rotation and returns to the first group. The respawned boss starts again with its first assigned player.

A player can appear in only one assignment within the same group, and each assignment must point to a different monster. Every target must also exist in the current map when the loop starts, even if its group is not active yet.

Skip a turn

skipWhen runs on the account Lucent picked for the current taunt. Returning true passes the turn to the next assigned player:

skipWhen: ({ self }) => self.player.hpPercent < 40,

Here, the account skips its turn when it has less than 40% HP.

Keep skipWhen quick. Lucent gives it at most one second. If every assigned player skips, Lucent waits one second and tries the rotation again.

Notes

  • Loop taunting is best effort. Accounts can fall out of sync or be unable to cast, so Lucent cannot guarantee every taunt.
  • See the api.army.loopTaunt() reference for the full plan and callback types.
